Product Warranty

Thank you for choosing SILVERstor RAID product. We believe that data storage is most important to the IT infrastructure, and maintain stored data availably is the key of  driving your business. Good quality products are essential. SilverShine not only provides exceptional RAID storage products which are composed of full redundant components, but offers well-established service policy and technical support which are based on its 12 year's experienceof customer service to partners and end-users.

Types of Warranty

1. Regular Warranty

SilverShine warrants that the SILVERstor RAID products will be free from defects in material and workmanship, and will substantially conform to the specifications, for a period of two (2) years after the date of shipment to customer, excluding batteries which SilverShine warrants will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of one (1) year. SilverShine provided that the warranty shall not apply to natural wear and tear, nor extend to damage which is caused by faulty or improper storage and/or handling of the product by customer, its employees, representatives and agents.

Customer shall ship defective products freight prepaid to SilverShine. SilverShine shall ship the repaired/replacement products freight prepaid to the customer. If the customer has a pending delivery, the repaired/replacement products shall be shipped together with the customer's other order. Otherwise, it will be shipped separately. Both parties agree to use the same means of shipping. Defective products or parts, if replaced, automatically become the property of SilverShine.

All products repaired or replaced under warranty shall carry a warranty equal to the period of time remaining on the warranty based on the original delivery date.

2. DOA (Dead On Arrival)

Products are subject to customer inspection within fifteen (15) days after delivery ("DOA Period"), and if customer reasonably determines that a product is non-conforming, it may return such product to SilverShine. If a product is not returned to SilverShine during such period, it shall be deemed accepted. With respect to any product that is defective or non-conforming within the DOA Period, SilverShine shall, at SilverShine's option, either: (i) ship a replacement product within five(5) working days after receipt of the defective product returned to SilverShine; or (ii) credit customer for the amount actually paid for such product immediately after its return to SilverShine.

3. Out of Warranty

"Out of Warranty" refers to those products that are no longer covered by the "Regular Warranty:"

•  SilverShine will repair or replace the defective products within fifteen (15) working days from receipt; provided, however, that any such repair or replacement is contingent upon the availability of the required components. The customer shall pay the two-way shipping, packing, insurance, and other costs, including necessary labor and parts.

•  Customer shall ship defective products freight prepaid to SilverShine. SilverShine shall ship repaired products freight collect to the customer. If the customer has a pending delivery, the repaired products shall be shipped together with the customer's order. Otherwise, it will be shipped separately.

•  All out-of-warranty products serviced for a fee will have ninety (90) days of extended warranty. The ninety (90) day warranty shall begin on the date the repaired product ships from SilverShine.


4. Non-Warranty 

SilverShine reserves the right to inspect products returned from its customers in order to determine the cause of the problem. SilverShine shall return defective products that could not be repaired at no-charge, except for shipping costs. This warranty does not cover product problems related to the following:

•  Products damaged during shipping due to insufficient or improper packaging.
•  Damage caused by force majeure (such as fire, flood, etc.).
•  Damage caused by normal wear of parts, scratches, surface rust or deterioration, improper use, improper storage, improper testing, negligent use of improper voltage or current, accidental damage, abnormal or unusual use, use of unauthorized accessories or modules, use contrary to the operating instructions, or lack of regular maintenance.
•  Product repaired, dismantled, or altered by unauthorized technical personnel.
•  Damage caused by computer viruses.
•  Removed warranty seals or serial n umber stickers which void our warranty.
